Pole's Big... Adventure! (And Other Things)

pole-thumb.jpg

A few of you might remember the Sega parody title Pole's Big Adventure I wrote about last week. It looks to be a cute romp through the 8-bit pixelverse with a lot of jabs at the platformers of yore, correct? Well... It looks like it's a bit more risque than we previously thought! After receiving a CERO B Rating for "sexual content", Spencer for Siliconera made a startling discovery: Spanish fly!

That's right, Pole's Pole makes and appearance, well, sort of. The retro sprite manages to sport a 45 degree pixelated erection when consuming a specific mushroom. Adult content indeed! The game is centered around gimmicky and silly content, like game slowdowns, intentional sprite glitching and just general wackyness. You know, all that stuff that used to make you scream and throw your sharp edged NES controller at a wall, only after nearly deflating your lungs blowing at the end of that favorite cartridge.

Now, my question is this: Will be see this game in the US? I certainly hope so, but I doubt that Pole's pole will survive the trip.

Hey, it fits perfectly. There were all kinds of subtle, and some not so subtle, nakedness and other sexy things in the 8-bit age. Just take a look at Gamesradar's look back at nudity in old school games.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
