Revenge Of The Transformers

Michael Bay's Transformers was no great shakes, and the videogame adaptation didn't fare much better. Of course, it still made a buttload of money, enough to warrant a sequel, so naturally Activision is announcing the production of the corresponding Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen game!
"Activision has developed a Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game that will give gamers and fans a truly compelling way to experience TRANSFORMERS," said Mark Blecher, Hasbro's General Manager of Digital Gaming and Media. "The Activision team's passion for the property clearly shows in the character development, intense action and rich graphics that really deliver an immersive experience for the user."
Well, hopefully the gameplay will be up to par with the characters and graphics. And like all good licensed products, Transformers: They've Fallen And They Can't Get Up will be released for every platform under the sun. Interestingly, while Activision will be publishing all the titles, they're all being created by different developers. Luxoflux is handling the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, while Beenox Studios takes care of the PC port. Krome Studios is developing the Wii and PS2 versions, promising to utilize "the individual platform features" (waggle controls and low-res graphics). There are also portable games on the way with totally different gameplay. Vicarious Visions is handling the DS title and Savage Entertainment has the PSP one in the bag. So who knows... maybe one of them will turn out good!

Wootini, I have to chip in my two cents here and say I'm looking forward to the PS3 version, if for no other reason than I have a ludicrous amount of faith in Luxoflux, and they've already proven that licensed game does not have to mean crappy game. I cite Kung Fu Panda, a BEAUTIFUL game with fun gameplay, delivered to us by our friends at Luxoflux.
Considering how godawful the first movie was, and how the second is pretty much guaranteed to be as bad or worse, I'm not gonna hold out much hope for the game versions.
Now if someone wants to make a kickass game based on G1, I'll be all ears.
I loved the first movie..and my heart skipped a beat when seeing the trailer for this one..The first game..was aweful for one resaon..by my observation...Everything had a god damn time limit...i mean..who really enjoys time limits..espically in a game like that..i'm praying to my stars that they take that part out of the new game..have it open world or at least give up the opion to take our time and explore the world and learn tricks with our choosen Transformer...
I also LOVED the first movie. There were a few very pointless characters in the movie, but overall, I was thoroughly entertained!
Never played the game so no comment there. :)
I love how the director stuck to the original content, especially when they chose to make Bumblebee a sportscar and how he pissed all over folks like he did on the cartoon. I so can't wait for the second steaming sweet-potato to be pinched into our laps with the sequal.
