ESA Welcomes SouthPeak

southpeak.jpg

Now that the ESA "revisited" its membership dues (which jumped by 1700% since 2006) to allow smaller publishers to join its otherwise thinning ranks, SouthPeak has signed up for membership. The publisher of Roogoo and all things Gamecock has joined the ranks of the ESA, thanks in no small part to SouthPeak's $1.2 million reported profits for the holiday quarter, up from a $1.3 million loss last year.

"Our industry needs a strong and active trade organization and we are pleased to support that effort," says Southpeak marketing VP Richard Iggo. "We look forward to participating in the many programs and opportunities provided by the ESA."

SouthPeak's own Two Worlds is responsible for a lot of that success, and its late 2008 acquisition of Gamecock for what's believed to be equal to or less than $12 million is probably looking pretty good right about now as well.
