Go To Space Camp With Nintendo

I got a little excited when I learned that Activision had announced that Space Camp was coming for the Wii and Nintendo DS in June. Unfortunately, it's not an adaptation of the Kate Capshaw classic, but what sounds like another collection of family-friendly mini-games.
In Space Camp®, you begin as an aspiring astronaut in training. After rocketing yourself to the moon, you must engage in a series of futuristic, furiously fun missions in order to return home to Earth. With the help of your own robot, you will perform activities like scientific experimentation, controlling spacecraft and even defending the moon from invaders.
I'm not so sure about this one anymore. Even with multiplayer modes on the Wii version that will let one of you control the main character while the other interacts with the environment. Party Mode will let up to four players compete in mini-game tournaments set on Earth and the Moon.
"What could be more fun than playing as an astronaut in a videogame?" said David Oxford, Activision Publishing. "This scenario offers a new perspective on using Wii™ and DS™ controls to craft a truly fresh, family friendly gameplay experience."
Actually, what would be more fun for me would be if it was more of a simulation like Endless Ocean was for scuba diving. Nothing terribly complicated, but realistic enough to be enjoyable for people who will likely never be able to experience that adventure firsthand. But that's just me...

I don't know. Being an astronaut in real life?
