Klonoa Character Design - Wiimake Survey Implies Something

I'm so excited about the Klonoa: Door to Phantomile. So excited that I'm openly weeping in the arms of of a blond, quintessential underachiever like Jessie from Saved by the Bell. Now why are there images of our favorite cat\dog character with a oddly blasphemous redesign next to him? It's a survey of course!
Namco has sent this survey out to a select group of people (not me) to see how they feel about the new character. Strange days indeed.

The implications of all these questions leave us with a big pile of questions of our own. Since the remake is already on it's way, it is pretty safe to say that they are not going to gut and polish an existing title. What would be the point anyway?
My guess: New Klonoa title. Squee!

"How a character that looks like this, how challenging would you expect gameplay to be?" Seriously. That just screams sequel. Lets just hope the title lives up to the success of the first one. As one of my favorite all time platformers, I don't want to see it go the way of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Klonoa Character Design Being Checked For North American Wii-make [Siliconera]

Sorry, sweetie, but this wasn't for a sequel. Namco wanted to redesign Klonoa to a more "EXTREME" Ratchet and Clank design for American audiences while keeping the floopy-haired cute design for Japan. Because Japan loves cute things while America thinks they're for fags and babies. We got lucky and the last time this survey was won, Klonoa's original design was kept for the US release of the Wii remake. Otherwise, they would have just reskinned the character into the pointy-haired Ratchet clone abomination you see in the survey.
While I do like the redesign with regards to Klonoa's jacket, boots, and gloves, the hat and ears of original Klonoa are stylish and cool. Quandary...
Hmmm....
I'm hoping that Asterick is on to something....but if not, I'll still pick up the Wii-make. I've only played the GBA Klonoa games, but thought they were fantastic. I would love to see new content--with either Klonoa.
Not to be heretical, but I actually kinda prefer the new-look Klonoa. I was never a fan of the hat, I think.
Without the hat and floppy ears, he may as well be a completely different character
They make him stand out from the rest of the fluffy mascot characters. The new design makes him look pretty generic.
I guess Zeta is right. This survey isn't new and has already been newsed by many websites including kotaku on October 2008.
That lack of hat is so awesome!
