Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Coming To PS3, Sixaxis Jiggle Physics Not Confirmed

I feel like sometimes we don't get to report enough good news for monolith-like PS3, so it was with much excitement that I read reports that Famitsu magazine has confirmed Ninja Gaiden Σ 2, a port of last year's 360 action game. But like Ninja Gaiden's previous outing on PS3, Ninja Gaiden Σ 2 will expand on the original game by letting you play as the purple-haired Ayane from Tecmo's Dead or Alive series, presumably in her own levels. There is also the promise of PSN support, though that could be anything from online leaderboards to downloadable new costumes.
Ninja Gaiden series creator Tomonobu Itagaki is probably none too happy right now, having said almost a year ago that a PS3 port of Ninja Gaiden 2 would be "a loss of face for everyone involved." Oh well. Itagaki's loss is the fan's gain. Expect more details, like a release date hopefully, in the not so distant future.
