Resident Evil 5 Invades SF's Union Square

In grand style, Capcom unveiled Resident Evil 5 to excited crowds at last nights launch event in San Francisco's Union Square. The whole of the square was tented off (quite a feat I assure you) and party goers were treated to a raucous party inside that included DJs, a screaming contest (thankfully inside a sound booth) and loads of demo booths displaying the game. The party was sponsored by Capcom and GameStop proving that game publishers and a major outlet of used games can be friends! After all, we all know that nothing brings people together like the eradication of the zombie hoard.
Folks who had pre-ordered the game could go down to the store and pick up a white wristband that would allow them to pick up the game right there in the tent. This was convenient seeing as it was rather chilly in SF last night and the prospect of standing outside in the cold, even for something as awesome as Resident Evil 5, was something many were not looking forward to.
It was a great launch to what is sure to be another huge hit for Capcom and another long, lovely, fluffy feather in the Resident Evil franchise cap. And now I take my leave of you so I might visit Kijuju myself and see what the problem is. Wait, why does that guy have a weird growth coming out of his mouth?! Perhaps I should pick up this gun and this conveniently placed bit of green herb...

I wish i lived somewhere that had release parties like that. Myself i went to the mall which opened at 10am, by 10:05, i walked out the the LE RE5 360. No need to pre-oder just in and out :D
