Rise Against Debuts New Song In Guitar Hero World Tour

Guitar Hero World Tour strikes another blow against Rock Band with the announcement of another exclusive. Rise Against have two songs in previous versions of Guitar Hero, but the new Rise Against Track Pack will contain "Audience of One" and "Ready to Fall" as well as the brand new song "Death Blossoms," composed and recorded specifically for the game. The track pack will be released on March 12 on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace (for 400 Microsoft Points) and the PlayStation Store (for $5.49), but all three tunes will be available separately, too (for 160 MP or $1.99, natch). And they'll even be on the Wii (at 200 Wii Points)!
"Guitar Hero continues to be a platform for artists to deliver new music while gaining invaluable exposure," says Tim Riley, Vice President of Music Affairs for Activision Blizzard. "We are thrilled that Rise Against was willing to compose and record 'Death Blossoms' exclusively for our audience offering fans an opportunity to download music heard nowhere else."
In addition, Xbox gamers will have a chance to share the virtual stage with Rise Against vocalist Tim McIlrath in the Game With Fame event on March 14, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Central time. All you have to do is send a friend request to the gamertag GHRiseAgainst1.

Isn't this the same "Rise Against" that everyone poo poo'ed when they came to LIPS 3 weeks ago?
Yup, the same band that I love. This is sad news. Harmonix and Activision did state (long ago, IIRC) that Rock Band and Guitar Hero would "complement one another", but all I've seen is a full blown war between them.
Hey, Myke78, I didn't say I was gonna download the songs and love 'em... I'm just reporting the news.
In fact, I don't even own GHWT. I'm a Rock Band boy.
I know you have rock band silly :) but you know I gotta defend my lips :P
