Video: Mega Man 2.5D - AWESOME

Yes, yes we all know that I love retro. You make a pixelated turd and I'd probably encase it in lucite and proudly place it on my shelf. Okay so I already did that and I call it my Virtual Boy. I love that giant red steaming pile.

My love for all things old, or resembling anything old aside, I love it when designers take a game and make a new concept around an old game. Why not take an old ass game, and make it into something fantastic without changing the spirit of the title? Swedish animator Peter Sjöstrand did just that. I won't go into the specifics, because the video does so much more justice than I ever could.

This is what Mega Man 9 should have been at the least, instead of that crappy nostalgia-driven innovativeless cash-in they probably hammered out in 2 months.

Holy crap is that ever cool! A bit like Super Paper Mario, but you have to admit, if this was a real game, everyone would be all over it.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
