Video: The King Of Fighters XII Trailer Kicks Ass

So you know how yesterday I told you about SNK's press release about their upcoming next-gen fighting game The King of Fighters XII, and how it was reveling in its 2D hand-drawn goodness? Well, it turns out there's a trailer already, and seeing those pretty sprites actually moving around is super impressive. That's some solid character animation right there. It's really quite stunning. Even in animated films, I've lamented the loss of classic hand-drawn animation for the slick, shiny 3D CGI spectacles. I always appreciate an old-fashioned animated film, and I kind of appreciate SNK for embracing the classic look... but making it look a whole lot better!

This may very well be the first KOF game I actually buy.

I've been impressed with the attention to detail that the development team has taken towards this title over the past year.

Too bad the Xbox 360 D-Pad sucks. I guess I can make due...what was Microsoft thinking!?

Yeah the d-pad does suck. Gonna have to try to find a good fighting stick for the 360.

They could have used better footage in this trailer imo. 90% of the Clark footage is him getting beaten up. Show his specials dammit.
