Classic Sierra Adventure Games Available Free In Your Browser

Do you like classic adventure games? Sure you do. And even if you're too young to have played them at the time, you still like them, you just don't know it yet. Well here's your chance to replay some of gaming's most classic adventures. No, I'm not talking about Lucasarts games. Think a little older to the Sierra games. Over at the wonderful site Sarien you find classics like Space Quest 1 & 2, Police Quest 1, Leisure Suit Larry 1, and The Black Cauldron, with the more games to come later.
The games aren't quite perfectly emulated yet, as I did encounter a few bugs while playing. Most notably, and most disappointing, was the complete lack of sound. There are also points when you might get stuck walking in place, but a simple doubleclick with the mouse fixes that, and it becomes less of an issue. But overall it was still fun to replay the games. In some ways the games have even been enhanced thanks to a right-click menu that gives you access to all of the text commands available in a given room. In an odd twist, there's also multiplayer support now. Any other online players in the same game will appear on screen, and you can also type messages to one another which can be a big help to those new to the games. Or, for purists, you can always turn off the multiplayer option.
If you remember these classics then checking out the site is worth it at least for the nostalgia, though you may find yourself hooked all over again. And for those that never played these games before, then definitely check it out for a slice of gaming history.

Sweet! The Black Cauldron was probably my very first PC Adventure game, followed quickly by everything else Sierra that wasn't either PQ or LSL - I was five! ;)
This is great. I've been dying to replay all the Space Quest games for a while!
