Resident Evil 5 Press Kit For Sale

re5presskit.jpg

Capcom has revealed today that they have put the Tricell Progenitor Virus Detection + Suppression Kit on sale to the public. It's the press kit for Resident Evil 5 that was previously only available to select members of the gaming press (not me) who received one from Capcom themselves. But as they've done in the past with some of their other press kits, Capcom has added this one to the Capcom Store. You might think, oh, cool! Well, it goes for $49.95, and there really isn't much to it. You get some protective gloves, a bio-hazard containment bag, "industrial strength" hand sanitizer and a protective face mask. But the main feature is the 2-disc virus detection and suppression kit. The first DVD tells you that your gaming console or computer is infected and then you use the other DVD to clean it up. I'm sure it was quite funny for the people who got these in the mail, but I don't know about spending 50 bucks on what's just a really elaborate and well-constructed joke. But hey, if you're interested, they're for sale!
