Video: Giant Bomb's Bionic Commando Preview
There are preview videos and then there are Giant Bomb's preview videos. Somewhere between informative and hilarious, these guys get publishers to say ridiculous things, ask the questions that I want answered, and they get to play a whole bunch of really cool games in the process. Today's subject is Capcom's upcoming Bionic Commando. The preview reveals some interesting factoids and tidbits such as Rad's back story coming into the series revamp and points out some billboards that may be of interest to anyone that recently played through Resident Evil 5. While I've been on the fence on this title, this lengthy preview makes it look mighty tempting. Shortly after the 16 minute mark you'll find a sneak peek at one of the game's wormy boss encounters, so beware of story spoilers. I'm not a big fan of the new look for the Commando, but the levels look like the perfect playground for swinging around and blowing stuff up. What do you think? Does this title have what it takes to uphold the series cult status? We'll find out on May 19th when the title ships for PS3 and 360. You PC peeps will have to wait till June 2 to start swinging.

...Okay. The game looks really cool.
However, the reviewers need to shut the hell up and play. Maybe ask some game related questions and let the PR person answer them.

The uncomfortable pause of a joke no one gets or thinks is funny was thick enough to cut with a knife.
Game related...holy crap, they really turned this thing around. When I originally checked it out, it looked like an incredibly bland, linear point A to B shootan. Now it looks really damn cool. Like the open world combat game it should be.
