Washington Post D-bag Disses Denim, Gamers, & Allowing Gamers To Vote

Wow, witness the return of the stereotype of the old geezer railing against the mild differences of "kids today" as if a current trend or fashion will be responsible for the downfall of civilization. Rock music. Comic Books. Games. And denim, of course, if you're living in the 1890s.
Or, if you're Washington Post columnist George Will, that year could be 2009.
During a tirade against "demon denim" and how our modern choice to wear denim reflects "deep disorders in the national psyche," slow-news-day George took a moment to ramble off-topic and take a poke at gaming (as it relates to demon denim, of course):
Denim is the infantile uniform of a nation in which entertainment frequently features childlike adults ("Seinfeld," "Two and a Half Men") and cartoons for adults ("King of the Hill"). Seventy-five percent of American "gamers" -- people who play video games -- are older than 18 and nevertheless are allowed to vote.
As a denim-wearing gamer of voting age, I'm sure I don't disagree with the sentiments of this obsolete toupee: adult gamers shouldn't be allowed to vote, should we? Not any more than culturally irrelevant, hysterically wrong-headed newspaper columnists should be allowed to earn a living spewing anachronistic bile.
In fact, speaking of age-appropriate behavior, maybe George Will should retire? After all, 100% of George Will is older than 67 years (D.O.B. 1941) and nevertheless is allowed to opine.

Dude, denim is the best. Screw this douche.
"Jeans come prewashed and acid-treated to make them look like what they are not -- authentic work clothes for horny-handed sons of toil and the soil."
I was all set to make fun of him for his incredibly timely railing against acid-wash, but then he distracted me with his dirty talk about sexy farmers.
Mr. Will, I do declare! *fans self*
Um...Jeans are the pants of the working man! They were originally made for the labor workers who needed a tougher fabric and a design to handle the job.
Nothing wrong with Jeans, this guy is just a silver spooned idiot.
LOL... Did anyone actually read the article???
This article isnt about gamers or denim. He is trying to say that the line between parent and child and social classes have been completely blurred. He's saying that or society likes to lump everyone together, forced equality.
For the love of god... Read between the lines and stop focusing on a couple of sentences taken out of context.
Sorry Ant,
I, too, was distract by Mr. Will's farmer. Those firm, round pecs, exposed and glistening in sweat in the afternoon sun. The sweat rolling down those washboard abs . . . disappearing beneath his denim wasteline . . .
Sorry, what were we talking about?
End the injustice that is gamers suffrage!
