Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary

RUU_0163.JPG

Dear Diary,

This week I finally felt vindicated for all my hard work. It's about time I was noticed for how fabulous I am. I'll get to that in a little bit, but first there's some other weirdness this week, with things that I noticed and a couple odd encounters. And April Fool's Day, to boot!

Oh, and in other news, Fang keeps losing his key in the river, a whole lot more than anyone else. If this keeps up, I'm totally going to stop finding it for him. Especially even though after I helped him out, he still talked about maybe moving away. As if I was gonna let that crankypants go...

I found a green zap helmet for sale to give to my bf so he could complete a green zap outfit, but since we can't both visit the town at the same time, I thought I would just go to his attic and take a kinky picture of the two of us while he slept. So imagine my shock and horror to find that he wasn't even there! One of the things I like about this town is not having to go back to your house to lay down in your bed to save, but I guess that also means you won't be there for people to find like in the other towns we lived in. Oddly, though, later in the week, my bf told me he made a point of going to sleep instead, but when I went upstairs, he still wasn't there. Crazy! There's no way to see your sleeping friends?

I love when the townsfolk are observant. The other week, Olivia didn't want the regal bookcase I tried to give her 'cause she already had one, and this week, Bud totally noticed my cool red zap suit! He said I looked like a super hero, and offered to play a villain. Unfortunately, as cute as this exchange was, it didn't lead into a mini-game like the hide-and-seek or anything. Too bad, because that could've been a lot of fun.

Pascal swung by again with another one of his bizarre little folksy sayings. I seriously think this dude is on drugs or something. He never makes any sense! Luckily, I'd made a point of clearing the beach of shells a couple times so I had a scallop for this visit. And in exchange, I got myself a sea view, which is pretty cool. I put it in my basement, which is the home for cool things that don't go with my regular furniture sets.

You know, stuff like all the Mario crap that falls out of the sky. Like the one I got last week from that gold balloon floating by with a present. But as it turns out, I discovered this week that the gold balloons aren't always rare Mario furniture. Nope, this time I got a Mama bear for my trouble. And just to drive the point home, the fates threw a purple balloon by a bit later, and when I shot it down, I totally got a fire flower! You can't trust anything!

I was surprised to find Phyllis hanging out at Brewster's in the basement of the museum before her night shift started. At first, she was her usual rude, sarcastic self, but then admitted that she didn't really like her job anymore, but felt like she was too old to learn how to do anything else. Awwww.... That's terrible. I don't like angst in my Animal Crossing, as it turns out. Who knew?

But the biggest news this week was when I went into Town Hall to check on the environment. Pelly informed me that the town was still awesome, and in fact was so awesome that we'd gotten the notice of some organization that decided to award us with a golden watering can for our efforts! Yay! It was so exciting, I can't even remember exactly what she told me. All I wanted was to get my hands on that golden watering can so I could turn all my wilting black roses into gold ones. Now I can surround my Town Hall with them and Jacob's ladders just like in my last town. Whee! Of course, this just means that any visitors have to be very careful. No running in my town!

Finally, this week was April Fool's Day, and Tortimer was waiting outside of Town Hall with a gift to celebrate the holiday. At first, he said he was giving me something when his hands were empty, and then he laughed at me. Not sure how a boldfaced lie is an April Fool's prank, but whatever. Next he gave me a leaf. You know, like the leaf that furniture looks like when it's not inside of your home? Turns out that's exactly what it is. I took it back to my house and put it on the floor, and that's what it is. A leaf. You can turn it around to view it from different angles, but it's just a leaf. On your floor. Awesome. Good gift!

Lauren, you get the gold can by keeping your town at a perfect rating for over a week. You have to have the right amount of trees and flowers planted around, and you can't have any weeds or garbage.

The silver can is easier to obtain, just buy a lot of flowers from Nook, and eventually he'll give it to you as a free gift!
