E3 Is Next Week! Let's Speculate Wildly!

As my ever-so-lucky castlemates prepare to venture off to Los Angeles for E3, I thought that it would be a good time to poll predictions for this year's event. There are plenty of rumors swirling around right now, from the sane (Valve announcing Half-Life 2: Episode 3) to the hysterically crazy (Sony releasing a "Slim" PS3? Ha!), so let me present to you the things that I think we'll see and hear from the show...
- We know that Hideo Kojima and his team will announce something, but I'm ready to predict that it's either a sequel to MGS: Portable Ops or an expansion set for Metal Gear Solid 4's online component.
- As cool as that early Trico footage was, we won't see the game at E3. Don't fret; we'll see it at Tokyo Game Show this year.
- Heavy Rain looks incredible and finally gets a release date at Sony's conference.
- Microsoft's conference will have two big sequels as timed exclusives: Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2. Even though everyone is hearing whispers about a 360 motion controller, it will not be seen at E3.
- Nintendo's conference will once again not be targeted at enthusiast press/audiences and "everyone" will complain about the lack of an update to Earthbound/Kid Icarus/Wrecking Crew/ [Insert the title of your favorite NES game here]. Complainers will totally ignore "core" third party efforts because they will not be announced by Reggie.
- At Sony's conference, we won't see a price drop but we will see God of War 3, something related to SOCOM, and update on MAG. The hidden gem of the conference will be PixelJunk [Whatever].
- I'm torn on this one and my opinion veers moment to moment... I think we'll see something drastic from Sony concerning the PSP. At this point I'm going with UMD-less update that launches a major PSN Store revamp. Whatever it is, it won't make people happy.
- LucasArts shows off the new Star War Battlefront: Elite Squadron titles for PSP/DS. Both of these games will kick all kinds of wamprat behind, but news outlets will ignore the games and pester them about a console version.
- Something from Suda 51 and his Grasshopper crew (No More Heroes 2 footage?) is shown and will cause me to catch the vapors and faint.
- EA's Dead Space: Extraction proves that EA almost gets Wii right...almost.
- Sega shows Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing on the show floor. Initial reaction will be "meh," but the title will go on to sell more than most expect. Ulala is shown as a playable character and cases me to catch the vapors and faint.
With the "old E3" back in full force (ok, not really, but sort of), this year's show is looking like it'll be one to remember. Do you have any expectations or predictions for the show? Share them with us in the comments!

i really would like to see some more talk of the microsoft handheld device.
Stuff I want to happen:
Playable demo of Max Payne 3
Playable demo of Alan Wake
*not happening ever* Shenmue 3.
Mother 3 in English mentioned in Nintendo's conference.
*IT COULD HAPPEN!* Mike Tyson becoming DLC for Punch Out Wii
More companies utilizing Wii Motion Plus and the DSi camera.
Tony Hawk Ride actually ending up looking decent on the show floor, then being incredibly boring after 5 hours at home.
Cave Story ds?

SEGA will demo a new Sonic game, and it will be excellent......
Oh, you said speculation, not impossibilities.
I think we will see a slimline PS3.
Final Fantasy XIII footage would be fantastic!
the point of the article (as much as it was a giggle) was???????
Let's just wait and bitch about it afterwards like the fanboys that we are... lets leave speculation to the inferior folks that will wish upon things that will never be. If certain games didn't sell then they wouldn't be made.
Remember money talks, so don't go and buy a game second hand. If you want certain genres, series, etc to succeed you need to invest.
Look at Pokemon as a game series, people lap it up despite the crappy spin offs and countless remakes. But the general public love it and invest in it. Beautifully, something like pokemon brings together the young and the old as well as the casual and the hardcore. And for that it cannot be faulted.
So, love your FPSs? go buy a brand new fps game! In love with your Wii? grab a new game that'll bring it to life! Love online gaming? Go play something online!!! Or, if every game out there is a pile of shit then don't buy it. Money really does talk.
I'd love to see something on Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. But I doubt we'll see that at E3. I expect we'll see it at the same show (the name escapes me) that was running The World Ends With You. Think it's a Japanese show though. I guess what I'd mostly be looking for would be news on the slim PS3 and some friends of mine have mentioned a new version PSP, so maybe we'll see that as well.
Hmm, I disagree on the MGS front, it'll be MGS5 [for the milk].
Also, no original opinion on what Nintendo could show off at E3? Lame GG... [or have you not noted anything Nintendo related in the last few days?]
As for what I hope [not fan-rabidly expect] from the Nintendo and Microsoft camps [seeing as I recently got a 360 to go with my Wii]:
- Interesting first party stuff other than Pikmin 3, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit Plus [the second one is all that'd interest me]
- European release dates for Mario and Luigi 3 and Zelda: Spirit Tracks for this year
- 360 way, I'm hopin' for lots of stuff from Rare, more Platformers, RPGs and innovative-looking titles like Hydrophobia, personally. [The latter does still exist, right?]
Either way, I'll be walking to E3, not catching the train.
My predictions:
Nintendo will talk up 3rd party games a lot. Expect High Voltage software to get a prominent spot in their press conference. Also, Pikmin 3, possibly as a DS game, will be announed.
Bioshock 2 will be released on 360 and PS3 at the same time, no timed exclusive.
Microsoft will finally act like Alan Wake exists and position it as a game to compete with Heavy Rain. Both games will cause me to drool.
Sony is going to do a lot of PSN stuff. Lots of downloadable retail games for both PS3 and PSP, as well as more support for PS1 downloads.
Even if Mother 3 was officially translated it wouldn't matter, the fan translation is already out and I have a feeling it'd end up more censored if Nintendo got their grimy hands on it.
I would like to know why Earthbound hasn't been released on the Wii though. Stop screwing around already and do it. Virtual Console sucks right now. You'd think they'd be able to shovel them onto the Wii without hesitation, considering it's basic emulation I've been doing on my PC since 1999. I can't imagine licensing is monumentally difficult.
