New Brutal Legend Screens: Now With Rob Halford!
Double Fine studios has always done work I adore and probably none more that Psychonauts, one of the greatest "sleeper" hits of the video game industry along with Beyond Good and Evil. When I heard the were doing a heavy metal adventure game called Brutal Legend I was intrigued. When I heard it was starring Jack Black I became somewhat less intrigued. However, the pursuant screen shots and descriptions got me interested again and the appearance of Motorhead's Lemmy as one of the game's bosses sealed the deal.
Now the deal is sealed even further with the announcement of heavy metal's gayest gay, Rob Halford of Judas priest as another big boss, General Lionwhyte. Unfortunately, General Lionwhyt doesn't look as much like Halford as Lemmy's character looks like Lemmy. The hair, the make-up, the pink bandana, the leopard wristbands... He sort of looks like the love child of David Bowie and Steven Tyler by way of the Villiage People with hair-do from Poison. Pretty effective nonetheless.
