Overlord's Whack-A-Seal Game Sure To Raise PETA Eyebrows

The next iteration of Overlord games are about to hit the market (Overlord II for Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and PC, Overlord: Dark Legend for Wii and Overlord Minions for the Nintendo DS) on June 23 and to prepare the coming onslaught, the Overlord team and IGN have teamed up to create an online game entitled "Whack-A-Seal." The little Flash game entails you playing one of the Overlord minions engaging in a friendly bit of baby seal clubbing. The tongue-in-cheek game is sure to get someone at PETA fired up and actually I sort of can't wait to see what their response is. Although in all honesty, it's much less offensive than their own "parody" of Cooking Mama where Mama disembowels a turkey.
The press release for Whack-A-Seal gave me a giggle so I'll share a bit of it with you here:
Do you hate puppies? Can't stand rainbows? Find the haunting, sorrowful call of the humpback whale completely insufferable? If you are disgusted with the thankfully diminishing, but still distinct nuisance that is Mother Nature, club a baby seal or two with Planet Overlord's new "Overlord Whack a Seal" game on IGN.
So if clubbing baby seals is your idea of a good time, head over to IGN and whack away. No one will judge you. Except PETA.

Surely, *surely* PETA will realize that the lesson here is that only Minions of Evil club baby seals, and that therefore the game serves as an interactive morality tale (Which of course it does, after a fashion, being satirical about evil overlords and evil minions...) and not an endorsement of such anti-cuteness brutality.
Surely...
;-)
Working on the basis PETA have a sense of humour.
Bad idea, from personal experience.
Also the game is better than Resi 5.
