Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary

RUU_0201.JPG

Dear Diary,

I know last week I said nothing really happened, and then I met a ghost and got a present on Nature Day, but this week really nothing happened. Well, at least not until Friday. All I really had to talk about this time was complaining about how the magic disc that transports me to Narnia has gotten so scratched going in and out of the magic box day after day that Narnia will often freeze up around me, forcing me to regroup and visit all over again from scratch. Unfortunately, this means I also have to deal with Mr. Resetti, because he can't tell the different between freezing up and resetting. Like I would ever reset. Please. Oh, and did you know that Mr. Resetti has an older brother, Don? I didn't. But apparently I've driven Resetti so crazy with all the freezing and restarting that he needed to take a break. Sorry, buddy. Not my fault. But if it gets any worse, I may have to go buy another magic disc.

Like I said, slow news week this time around. I mean, if I actually think that Pippy deciding to stop calling me Big Bro or whatever and start calling me Sweet-C is a big deal, you know there's nothing else going on. She did threaten to move recently, but I put the kibosh on that right quick. The ones I like always try to leave, and the ones I don't never say boo about it. Sigh. If only there was a way to evict people from town. But I guess that's not really in keeping with the friendly atmosphere in Animal Crossing. Oh well!

Pippy also alerted me to a weird dude hanging out on the bridge that she got freaked out by, and I knew it had to be Pascal. And sure enough, he was hanging around again. He offered me yet another one of his weird non sequiturs and then handed me a ship's compass before backflipping into the river and floating out to the ocean. Where the hell does he go, anyway? He's so bizarre. At least I got another piece of the set!

But the big news happened at the very end of the day on Friday when I went and had Blathers check out a couple fossils I'd dug up. I'm only missing one, so they're always doubles. Until today. He identified it as a dinosaur egg, and as he rambled on about the find, I suddenly realized that this was it — this was the final fossil to complete the entire collection! And sure enough, he informed me that I'd done it! I had found all the fossils! Of course, my triumph quickly faded as I realized that's all you get for doing it. I guess the accomplishment is its own reward, but I would've liked to have had a little something extra. Oh well. It's still nice to have completed the fossils, at least!
