Xbox Live Community Watch - 5/1/09

Another week, another round of Xbox Live Community games. This week we've got everything from tank warfare to a lately released Easter game and an interesting artistic game.
Yay
- Tank Strike - 200 MS points. An artillery tank game with fewer weapons than others in the genre, but makes up for that in other areas. The best feature of Tank Strike is that for each successful attack on an enemy you earn money, which can be spent after each round on ammo and extra abilities like shields for your tank. There's also a lot of personality in the game, with each level having a different theme and the tank changing accordingly, such as an octopus tank underwater.
Ay?
- JigDoku - 200 MS points. JigDoku takes a new spin on Sudoku puzzles by already giving you all of the numbers in the puzzles, but they are broken up into small chunks that you need to correctly place in the grid.
- Go 3D - 200 MS points. I had never actually played Go before loading up this game, and to its credit the tutorials were very helpful and I picked it up right away. Unfortunately, I realized that I don't seem to actually like the game Go. But if you're a fan of Go, or want to learn how to play, this is a good choice.
- A Great Easter Egg Hunt - 200 MS points. A physics-based platformer designed with very basic levels designed for younger gamers. Kids will enjoy it, assuming that the bunny main character doesn't give them nightmares.
- Time Flows But Does Not Return - 200 MS points. This is an interesting attempt at a "games as art" concept. I could go on for pages about this game, but ultimately it all boils down to two things. Does it succeed it what it is trying to accomplish as an art piece? Yes. Is it a fun videogame? No. I'd urge everyone to give it a try because of how well it works as an interactive metaphor, but at the same time there is very little chance that you'll enjoy playing it nearly as much as you'll enjoy analyzing what it all means.
Nay
- Let's Draw a Picture Together - 200 MS points. This is a drawing application those that felt like MS Paint just had way too many features. You can draw with a pencil, brush, or a fill tool, and each of those in a variety of colors. That's it. It does have the unique feature of allowing up to four people to have some co-op picture drawing which could probably be used as a make-shift version of Pictionary if people were really motivated, but that would also involve attempting to convince your friends to buy it, which could prove difficult.
- Bomb Disposal Expert - 200 MS points. Do you remember the color memory game Simon? Well that's what Bomb Disposal Expert is. After completing a certain number of rounds of pattern memorization the bomb will be defused and you move on to the next one to do it all over again. At least the difficulty curve ramps up at a very nice pace.
- Wordzy - 200 MS points. Wordzy tasks you with figuring out a 5-letter word by guessing words and then being told if letters are in the right place, or even in the word at all. I love these Mastermind type of games, but this one suffers from the fact that it is all timed and you can only select letters by slowly scrolling through the alphabet. This game desperately needs keyboard or messenger pad support.

Hi, I just wanted to say that Wordzy does support the keyboard on player one and the chatpad on all players. Also, besides the timed mode, there is a points mode, a round play mode and a free mode. With those three modes you don't have to worry about being timed.
Also, while scrolling through the letters you can press the left or right trigger to turn on maximum speed. This will scroll the letters much faster.
I hope this helps you enjoy the game more.
