E3 09: LittleBigPlanet PSP

LBP_PSP_0010.jpg

Like most games at E3, I had very little time to spend with LittleBigPlanet PSP. But I did manage to get enough time in to know that it's every bit as awesome as its console counterpart. I was also lucky enough to play it on the PSP Go which was a great double whammy.

Although LittleBigPlanet PSP is not being developed by Media Molecule, Spanish developer Mayhem Studios has done a fantastic job recreating the look and feel of LBP. They managed to get the physics just right and I could tell no difference between it and the original. However, this is not a direct port but an all new game with 39 new levels and all new costumes.

When making the game, Mayhem really took the Play, Create, Share motto of LBP to heart. LittleBigPlanet PSP has a full level create mode and you'll be able to share levels with friends via ad-hoc or infrastructure mode.

Look for Sackboy to add a whole lot of cute to your PSP this holiday. A perfect compliment to your new PSP Go!
