E3 09: Warriors: Legends of Troy
The face that sailed a thousand ships looks like it will be shipping a new Dynasty Warriors game next year. That's because the people over at Koei are hard at work on taking the gameplay, graphics, and action that makes the Dynasty Warrior series so great, and placing it in a western story, the Trojan War. The best part about their title Warriors: Legends of Troy is that they are giving you the chance to not only play the fight from the side of the Greeks, but also the Trojans too. That's two great storylines for you to sink your teeth into.
While they are still too early in production to give me definitive answers as to which heroes and characters you will play as in the game, they did assure me that all the big ones will be making at least an appearance. Like other games in the series, the fighting will be more strategic in nature, with swords and spears being the weapons of choice. You can choose when to fight, when to run, and when to take the back alley. Many times it will be many against few, but that's the kind of action that makes dynasty warrior games so enthralling. I was told that one of the big characters in the Trojan stories, Achilles, would of course be in the game; however, I was sad to hear that his relationship with his good friend Patroclus would be ambiguous in the game (though it was anything less than ambiguous in certain writings).
As can be seen in the trailer video above, the game has all the graphical bells and whistles you could expect from a next-gen title, even with many characters on the screen at the same time. The game has the two stories to play through, and that can be done either as a single player, or you can team up with friends online to play through the game. There will also be a four player competitive online play in the game. Warriors: Legends of Troy is due out in Spring of 2010 on both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 and it sounds like the team is working hard to make sure the story appeals to both eastern and western audiences. So if you are a fan of Greek mythology, or just of taking on hundreds of guys at a time, keep an eye out for Warriors: Legends of Troy next year.

I happen to be somewhat of an obsessive about this paticular greek mythos with achillies and paris and helen and hector ect ect. So i really hope this turns out better then the appaling dynasty warrior games.
this game will be better than Dynasty Wariors
