Nintendownloads - 6/1/2009

Final Fantasy games are usually stand alone adventures. When they're not, we get something like Final Fantasy X-2, which for most people wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement for the practice. Ported from a Japanese cell phone game, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years for WiiWare is a direct sequel to the SNES (or Nintendo DS) RPG. The story stars Ceodore, the son of Cecil and Rosa from the original FFIV, as he fights to save the world again as his parents once did. Will this recapture the magic that the first game had? Probably not, but hey, you'll give it a shot anyway. It's 800 points and available right now.
As for DSiWare, they're offering Mighty Flip Champs by Wayforward Technologies. Those are the folks who made the cult classic Shantae, so this 800 point puzzle/platformer is worth a serious look, especially if you've still got those 1000 free DSi Points from buying the system in your account. For the virtual console, Boulder Dash (500 points), a classic from the Commodore 64, has you taking control of Rockford, a prospector on a very precarious mountain as he collects jewels and avoids danger. Lastly, Texas Hold 'em Tournament for WiiWare (500 points) is a poker game that lets you play in online tournaments and climb global leader boards. It also has full Mii integration, so I hope your little guy has a good poker face.
Full details after the break.

He must dig through caves to collect diamonds while avoiding various types of dangerous creatures and obstacles such as falling rocks. He is in constant danger of being crushed or trapped by an avalanche or killed by an underground explosion. Strategy and planning are the keys to mastering Boulder Dash. Once enough jewels have been collected, the door to the mysterious escape tunnel is revealed and Rockford can explore another cave.

I had rather see games for any other site.
