The New Max Payne: Hot Daddy Or Scary Hobo?

Game Informer's newest issue has been hitting the homes of subscribers, and that means new details about cover story Max Payne 3 have been getting around. A few points:
- The game takes place 12 years after the last one. Max has lost everything: job, love, sanity, etc. You can tell because he has a beard, the universal symbol for "this man has lost everything."
- He's taken a job working security for a wealthy family in Brazil. Rockstar used scanning equipment in South America to help them make the setting as realistic as possible.
- The game is still noir, just not the "rainy, dark streets of New York" kind of noir. It's has more to do with a general, bleak outlook about the world.
- There's still bullet time, but because so many games have ripped off the concept from the original Max Payne games, they had to come to it with a few new ideas.
- There's online multiplayer for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, but they're mum about the details.
- The game is powered by the RAGE engine, which was used in GTA4 and its expansions, and the upcoming Red Dead Redemption.
It sounds like the ideas are solid, now we'll just have to wait for the follow through. In the meantime, how do you feel about the influx of mature gentlemen in this generation of hardware? I mean there's Solid Snake, Sam Fisher, and now Mr. Payne; is it just a natural response to the developers themselves aging, or maybe just a way for them to work out their daddy issues?

DEFINITELY hot daddy. woof!
Hard to say if he's hot or not. Nice ass though. lol
Anyways, I don't play games just because the Protagonist is hot. lol
Still game looks awesome!
Interesting. I was just talking to my friend weeks ago about a similar subject. Our mutual Brazilian friend told us that you can't live in the countryside in Brazil unless you're extremely wealthy and can afford a full team of security guards because there is so much crime going on outside of the city (and, well, probably within the cities too). He and I couldn't believe it -- we tried imagining a similar situation in the USA and just couldn't. So this sounds like a realistic premise that not many Americans are familiar with.
What if I think hobos are hot...?
HOT.
Beard. Shaved head. Tidy arse.
HOT.
i'd hit it
Not really into the looks thing as far as hot or not (not into fellas), but I'll say that I wasn't a big fan of his second look before I played the game but it eventually grew on me. I'll miss the dark alleys and cold buildings of the big city noir style formerly introduced in the series, but The last two have been stellar games, so all I feel I can be here is open minded to the changes.
I really am excited to see how this turns out.
Similar to Alex's post, I had a friend that went to Brazil recently and mentioned the same things. What with requiring bullet proof glass and armor plating on their Land Rovers and a fully stocked security detail to get from the airport. A good place to live given the criminal element this suggests? Not so much. A good place for a gritty noirish shoot em up? Oh yeah.
I didn't expect I'd like Max Payne when I played it, but something about the way the story unfolded made me really take to it. It'll be cool to revisit Mr. Payne...even if he's even less fun 12 years later.
(And I don't have enough to go on to decide if he's hot. I might be leaning towards scary hobo...)
The game got some awesome ideas! And yes, Mr.Payne now looks like that daddy bear my mother told me not to get involved... of course I don“t listen to my mother :P
Hmmmmm, I'm hesitant to say hot, but I'd probably hit it.
I'd love to be hit by that guy (and by hit, I mean plowed, lol). How long do you think it'll be before we get one of those interactive flash animations for the new Max Payne? ;)
Grizzled daddy-type? Check.
Muscles? Check.
Scars? Check.
Yup, I'd hit it.
Hot daddy OR scary hobo?
Hot daddy AND scary hobo.
It's funny because it's true. Check out this "please feel sorry for the formerly rich executives" story from Bloomberg a couple months ago:

As for Max Payne, definitely more hot daddy than hobo, but I still doubt I'll get the game.
I totally saw that guy at Ramrod this past weekend.
I nearly fell over when I saw the pic on the GI Cover! Absolute HOT DADDY!
I am really liking what i'm seeing
Very hawt...
Very nice site!
I'd hit that if he changed his shirt and (maybe) took a shower!
Kind of like a dirty Obadiah or Jason Statham.
*pause*
Mmm, Jason Statham...
