Trine Demo Available On PC

Back around Christmas you may remember Tiny Dancer giving us a little scoop about an upcoming pysics-based puzzle platformer game coming to the PC and PSN called Trine. Well it looks as though the developers, Frozenbyte, have been hard at work on the game and are still looking to launch it on both platforms. In fact, they recently released a PC demo of the game that can be played on GameTap.
While the physics-based puzzling and platforming action of the game already had me in awe by it seamless mixture with the game's superb graphics, the co-op available in the game and the puzzling solutions co-op leads to is great. In the game you play as a character that can switch between wizard, fighter, and thief using an item called a Trine; however, in the multiplayer, you and up to two other companions can take on the role of these three classes and work together for amazing results. There's actually a really great video showing the power of co-op in the game after the jump for those of you that want to see Trine shine.
For all you Xbox Live fans, turns out that the publisher Atlus will be publishing the game on XBLA sometime in the future, probably after it launches on the PSN and PC; however, no official release date has been set for the game. In the meantime, feel free to scoop the demo up and play the game for yourself.

Ohhhhh pretty.
Can't wait for the release.
Obnoxious installer.
It demands I install an old Windows Media codec AND an old version of DirectX -- at the risk of corrupting my existing versions -- and refuses to launch otherwise.
That is failure right out the door. I'll stick with the painless World of Goo experience.
