Vandal Hearts Prequel Shows Love for PSN and XBLA
Konami today revealed some details and screenshots for the upcoming tactical RPG Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment, due out on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade this winter. Featuring improved mechanics and presentation on top of the traditional Vandal Hearts gameplay, this prequel to the original Vandal Hearts tells the tale of young Tobias Martin who with the usual band of cohorts, must fight for peace in a continent where two kingdoms stand on the brink of war. But there's something in their way — an unstoppable warrior who wields the titular Flames of Judgment. Unstoppable? Sounds like a challenge to me!
Flames of Judgment features 20 playable maps and multiple endings as your actions throughout the game determine the ending, Tobias' future and more. Party members will adapt to your style of gameplay, and characters are fully customizable. I've included a small gallery of screenshots below that Konami released. I think I like the art style, but I'm not sure. It's kind of realistic and cartoony at the same time. I think it's the head size that's throwing me off. It's both creepy and cute!
