Video: Pokemon Scramble

I have to warn you, there is a lot of Japanese spoken in the trailer above and there are no subtitles, but that is all irrelevant due to the fact that there are cute Pokemon in the video. The trailer is for a new WiiWare game that is coming out in Japan called Pokemon Scramble. Due to the fact that the game is on the WiiWare, the characters are a bit more polygonal in shape, I'm sure to save on the memory they take up, but the game dresses up that fact by making the Pokemon look like windup mice. The real cool part about the game. though, is that you are battling in realtime with tons of enemies on the screen with some of the attacks unique to whichever Pokemon you are playing as, which is always a refreshing change from the normal turned based fights of the Pokemon series. It also looks like you will be able to play with up to 4 other players at the same time.

No word yet on when/if this game will be coming across the sea, but my guess is that if it has Pokemon, it won't be too long before we see it here. Until then you'll just have to keep playing your Diamond, Sapphire, or Fuchsia Pokemon game to catch them all.

(I hate that I know this) but the visuals are based on the same super-cute-deformed visuals used for My Pokemon Ranch on WiiWare. If it has Pokemon in the name, you can bet they're bringing it over. If you can use your own pokemon, this might actually be fun. (if it's as much of an actual game as it looks)

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
