Video/Gallery: Golden Sun DS

Well, I guess Nintendo doesn't really have much to release on the upcoming Golden Sun DS since I wasn't able to get anything out of them. But I know some of you are champing at the bit for any info on this game, so I thought I'd share this trailer and some screenshots with you. The trailer is basically made up of the footage shown as part of the Nintendo press conference, but it still looks cool. And the galleries are just more pretty pictures. Sorry I don't have any concrete information about storyline, gameplay or whatnot, but believe you me, as soon as Nintendo releases anything on this sequel to the two GBA classics, I'm gonna be all over it. Hey — I'm psyched for this one, too!

I am now waiting on held breathe for this game. Just the chance to summon Atalanta's rain of arrows to destroy enemies makes me swoon. Okay, a little bit of an hyperbole, but still i cannot wait to summon her. & Flora's blossoms. & Coatlicue's healing waters.

Though while seeing the old summons are good, i am hopefully that there is plently new content, since i doubt this Golden Sun will pick up right where the 2nd one left off. & i do so hope to see some lunar action. For a series that is so heavy into the elements, i am a wee bit surprised the sun & moon do not take a much more important role. The only role they take is in a minor puzzle at the beginning of the first Golden Sun, & obviously the name of the games. [Perchance a spin off series Silver Moon?].

It seems for the sake of 3D, the graphics took a serious nose dive... The nonbattle graphics look fine, but the summons are just terrible.

Awesome! I loved the first two games, but I had resigned myself into believing there would never be a new installment. This makes me quite the happy djinn collector.

While I wish they had chosen to use 2D graphics, I am happy there is a new Golden Sun!Why oh why has SEGA abandoned RPGS? Sega always had great ones.

I concure. I think semi-2D look of the past Golden Suns look a lot better than the 3D thing they were going for. It seems they were trying to be all fancy, but failed. The summons, especially Atalanta, would have looked stunning on a Wii. [crosses fingers in depereate hope that eventually in the future there will be a console Golden Sun; but not unless they put some serious effort into behind to make it grand like the first 2 Golden Sun].
