Where Tetris Blocks Are Made
Well, I think we all remember that time when whatever story our parents disillusioned us with about where babies came from was suddenly washed away forever as we are told (or witness) the truth. As for Tetris, I always assumed their creation had something to do with the L-blocks and the Line piece doing things behind the scenes, I mean why else would the Lines always be slow in getting out there when you need them to make a Tetris. Well it looks like there may be another answer, though this one is far more sterile than the one I had in mind.
The video is a small ad created by a South Korean team that also made a Bubble Bobble-esque title animation some time back. I have to say that the animation is fantastic and the iconic music is great. Who knew that the "Type A" track in the original game of the Korobeiniki song would become the go-to Tetris song. Almost makes the animation seem like maybe it was happening in a Russian factory, and I bet Russia wishes they factories were all as efficient as the ones in Tetris. So next time you play, just remember how much effort goes in behind the scenes.

For those interested, the music sounds like the cover of the Tetris theme by "The Toasters" .. I recently came across this gem myself. I don't normally like ska, but throw in some 8bit soundtrack goodness and well, it just doesn't get much better than that!
