Bayonetta Art Contest: Die, Palin Glasses, Die!

This is our chance, gay gamers. At the intersection of fashion, drag, and video games stands Bayonetta, and today Sega announced the Bayonetta Re-Envisioned art contest. Your challenge is to recreate Bayonetta, and the winner will have their work published in Wizard magazine. They'll also earn some serious loot: an Xbox 360, a 50" Panasonic TC-P50X1 plasma HDTV, and a developer-autographed copy of Bayonetta for the 360.
My appeal to the universe is this: girlfriend has enough flair already. She can lose those overplayed glasses. Whether you see Tina Fey or Sarah Palin within those specs, anyone who holsters her twin revolvers inside her high heels and can fist you with her hairdo has enough going on.
I'm just sayin'.
SEGA ANNOUNCES "BAYONETTA RE-ENVISIONED" ART CONTEST ON WIZARDUNIVERSE.COM
Aspiring Artists Invited to Submit Original Drawings of Bayonetta for Chance to Win Video Game System and Placement in Wizard Magazine
SAN FRANCISCO (July 22, 2009) - SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced the launch of "Bayonetta™ Re-Envisioned," a user-generated art contest, hosted by Wizard Entertainment at WizardUniverse.com.
The contest invites artists to submit original drawings to WizardUniverse.com of Bayonetta, the lead heroine in the self-titled SEGA game. The winning submission will be spotlighted in Wizard magazine and the winner will receive an Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, a 50 inch Panasonic TC-P50X1 HDTV Plasma TV and a developer-autographed copy of BAYONETTA for Xbox 360.
BAYONETTA is being developed for SEGA by PlatinumGames, the Japan-based independent video game development company that recently took the video game and art world by storm with the inventive look and gameplay mechanics of MadWorld™. Following in the forward thinking footsteps of this critically-acclaimed title, BAYONETTA is a stylistically unparalleled action game that stars a witch named Bayonetta who has guns attached to her hands and her feet, uses her larger-than-life hair, other weapons and acrobatic skills to subdue her angelic enemies.
"Partnering with Wizard Entertainment is a natural fit given their prominence in the comic community," said Sean Ratcliffe, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "We are excited to see what fans can do with a distinctive, feature-rich character like Bayonetta."
All submissions must be received by August 28, 2009 to be eligible for consideration. Fans can vote for their favorite original drawing on WizardUniverse.com from September 1 to September 30, 2009. Wizard Entertainment and PlatinumGames will review the votes and comments to help them determine the Grand Prize winner, as well as the top 10 runners-up, who will be awarded with autographed copies of the game. The winners will be announced in October 2009. For the official rules, visit: www.wizarduniverse.com/bayonettacompetition.html.
BAYONETTA™ is slated for release in January 2010 for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system.

I wonder who she resembles too closely? Why else would they want her "re-envisioned" if not in compliance with a copyright infringement notice?
If I had any drawing abilities at all I would mock up a Liz Lemon / Bayonetta hybrid that's "workin' on the night cheese." I thought that moment on 30 Rock was one of the most precious and beautiful moments ever.
I am, actually, workin' on my night cheese right this very moment.
And not afraid to admit it. Nope.
Cheddaretta out.
Oh please, like Fey and Palin are the only women with glasses in the world... *rolls his bespectacled eyes*
Down with glassism! Eyeglasses rule!
