Go Fossil Hunting At Nintendo's Latest Launch

la-brea-tar-pits.jpg

Alas, as an East Coast-er, I'm sadly unable to attend Nintendo's latest launch event, but it sounds rather cool, even if the game isn't really my cup of tea. L.A.'s La Brea Tar Pits will host the launch of the new Fossil Fighters game for the DS on Thursday, August 6 from 11am to 2pm. The game doesn't actually launch until August 10, but attendees will be able to play Fossil Fighters early as well as participate in a hands-on fossil dig where kids can compete to excavate and assemble the game's creatures to win prizes. There will also be a live Fossil Fighters tournament, and parents will be granted free admission to the nearby Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits when accompanied by a child. So if you're interested, head on over to The Great Lawn at Hancock Park at 5801 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA on the afternoon of August 6 and get digging!

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
