Kaz Keynotes TGS

Sony Computer Entertainment pres Kaz Hirai will be giving the keynote address at this year's Tokyo Game Show, speaking on the theme of "New Tactics For 2009." Kaz follows upon the heels of last year's speaker, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada, who also chairs CESA, the trade body which organizes TGS. Mr. Wada addressed solutions for Japanese developers because Japan, he said, had "lost its position" as frontrunner in the gaming world.
We can't wait for what we expect will be big news out of TGS this year - the Japanese game show drew almost 200,000 visitors last year, who made the long-ass trek to Makuhari Messe, outside of Tokyo.
My back and I remember all too well the inequities of being a giant white man inside a packed Japanese train for two hours each way - but TGS was well worth the trip. I'm curious to see whether Kaz will reveal anything telling by way of Sony's tactics - stay tuned for news from TGS when it kicks off on September 24.
