LucasArts Teases "Old School" Game News

Over at their official twitter, LucasArts teased some new game news for Monday. Although initially bereft of any details (besides a bit of over-enthusiasm), when pressed they gave a few hints.
Amazing news coming Monday! Super excited! You have no idea how tough it is not to start yelling about it! But it's secret! Until Monday!Okay, we will do hints. It is awesome news for our old school fans. (anything more direct might get me in trouble)
It doesn't have to do with any specific intellectual property...
Old school and not dealing with any specific IP? It sounds like it's not just a game announcement, or at least it's not just one game getting announced. Since the Monkey Island experiment hasn't actually started, it seems a bit soon to reveal new games from their classic adventure series. Maybe they're porting their SCUMM titles to iPhone or another game service? Anyway, we won't have to wait long to find out. Check out the full twitter to see if any more hints pop up or guesses are dismissed before the official announcement. I'd do it myself but I am a very old man and trying to decipher complicated twit-speak makes me grumpy and kind of tired.

Seem pretty straightforward, outside the SCUMM games they've only got one "classic" series anyone cares about, and that's X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter.
It's about bloody time,too ^^
I'd be very, very happy to see a new X-Wing/TIE Fighter game for next-gen consoles. I'm afraid that my compy can't run things that pretty...
I want Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle, dang it.
I'm hoping for some Maniac Mansion myself.
I forgot something earlier; Zombies Ate My Neighbors could also be a possibility. Consider my bet split, although I'd still rather see a reissue of the X-Wing games.
I would love a new X-Wing entry... though I would be sad if it were for consoles, as that would would mean it would be dumbed down for a controller with less buttons.
I have waited forever for a sequel to Loom :)
PnC Adventure collections on Wii pretty please.
Well it's official - LucasArts + Steam.
