Tweeting From Comic-Con!

A hearty hello from San Diego, GayGamers! While I am not officially "covering" Comic Con this year, I will be taking tons of photos and updating my Twitter feed with interesting bits and bobs. You can follow the feed over there in the left column OR you can follow my directly through twitter at @fruitbrute. If you are actually at Comic Con, let me know and maybe we can meet up for some nerdy conversation!

Hey Brute! Saw you at the Gays in Comics panel (which was fascinating, other than I'm PRETTY sure Perry Moore was drunk and came off as a totally self-loving individual shameless promoting Hero at the cost of his dignity) - you are as woofy in person as you are in your pics!
Hi there,
Hey, I'm really sorry I disappointed you. I wanted to keep it short and sweet. I can guarantee you there are no foreign substances involved. I had, however, received some bad news just prior to the panel.
I'm such a fan of this site, I wish I could talk to you more about what was going on. I didn't mean to promote myself at all--just the book, because sometimes the letters I get about it are so dire. Young people looking for direction, dealing with thoughts of self-loathing and sometimes suicide. I wanted to present an image of pride. Sorry it came off as self-loving. Please please please just let the book speak for itself, and forgive me for offending you in any way.
Thanks for taking the time to listen.
It was an honor, a true honor, to be on that panel with such a group of talented people making a difference. Since I wrote a book, I'd been accused of not belonging, since it is afterall a con about comic books, not books.
One thing I loved about the panel was its positive tone. I do think things are getting better, especially for young people. As I research the next book, I'd be interested in your opinion on the subject.
Again, sorry to disappoint you. I was really honored to be there and to play a modest role in the panel. Horrified that I came off that way, especially to you. This site has always been one of my favorites.
Thank you for taking the time to listen.
Sincerely,
Perry
