GamesCom 09: Beatles Rock Band DLC Details Revealed
We already knew that there were three albums being released as DLC for the upcoming Beatles Rock Band, but now Harmonix has finally released some more information about them. Abbey Road will be released on October 20, 2009, with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band following in November, and Rubber Soul in December. Also, as previously announced, "All You Need Is Love" will be released as a standard-price single on September 9, 2009, exclusively through Xbox LIVE for a limited time with proceeds benefitting Doctors Without Borders. But all DLC will eventually be available through Xbox LIVE, the PlayStation Network or the Wii Shop Channel
Abbey Road will cost $16.98/1360 MP for the album, or $1.99/160 MP for individual tracks. However, if you do buy the entire album, you'll have the option to play the famous 16-minute B-side medley as a single continuous track. That's pretty awesome. At this point, there's no pricing information or specific release date for Sgt. Pepper's or Rubber Soul, but I have to tell you I can't wait to play Sgt. Pepper's. I think because it was the first Beatles album I really listened to a lot, it became my favorite. Why isn't it September 9th yet?!
