GamesCom 09: Marvel Done With 'Crappy' Movie Games

Our luscious cohort Alexander Sliwinski from Joystiq has the skinny from Marvel Executive Vice President of Global Digital Media Group, Ira Rubenstein, on Marvel's decision to stop making "crappy" movie games. If you've listened to the GayGamer podcast for more than half a second, you might know this to be a topic dear to my shriveled heart. Enough with the crappy anything, says I.
Says Ira Rubenstein, who actually matters:
"We are not doing movie-based games anymore," Rubenstein said following yesterday's announcement of Digital Comics for PSN at Sony's GamesCom press conference. "Actually, wait ... we are not doing crappy movie-based games anymore. You can quote me on that."
The M.E.V.P.G.D.M.G. went on to mention that Iron Man 2, presumably not crappy, has been in development since work on the first movie-game wrapped, and promises that "it will actually be good." Also on Rubenstein's hotlist: the Thor game.
Cross your hammers and hope, Marvel gamers.

Didn't they say this a while ago before X-Men Origins?
Wolverine was certainly better than past games (though half naked Hugh Jackman may be clouding my judgement) but I still wouldn't rate it very highly.
