Rumor: Capcom Likes The Name Okamiden, Possibly For Okami Sequel

Okami is one of those rare gems of a game that is almost as famous for being an amazing game as it is for lackluster sales. Even though fans crave a sequel, because of the game's sales it has been hard to really expect one to be made. Beyond Good and Evil would be another such game. But now even with hopes diminishing for a Beyond Good and Evil sequel, some good news might be coming for Okami fans. Recently Capcom filed a trademark for the name "Okamiden." Suspicions instantly arose that the new name could be a shortened version of a name like Okami Gaiden or Okami Densetsu, suggesting a new Okami game in development.
Admittedly, that isn't the strongest support for an Okami sequel rumor, but there's one more piece to the puzzle. Several weeks back the Capcom-Unity twitter account made an exciting and cryptic comment that they were going to "discuss a new game sequel that will BLOW YOUR MIND when you find out about it." Maybe it's just my eternal optimism that's putting these pieces together, but an Okami sequel would certainly be a mind blowing announcement (in all caps no less).
The Wii port of Okami has still yet to see release in Japan, and is scheduled for October 15, so perhaps we'll hear more about Okamiden shortly thereafter. And to those of you who haven't picked Okami up yet (in which case, what is wrong with you?) why not order it right now? To get it brand-spankin'-new is only $18.50 for the Wii, or $18 on the PS2. For one of the best games to be released in the last 5 years, that's a steal.
Is Okamiden A New Okami Game? [Siliconera]

Okami on the Wii [I never heard of nor saw it on the PS2] instantly became one of my favourite games of all time and one of my top three this generation [and the art-book I brought of it is absolutely marvellous, and one filled with notable dropped story plot hints].
I'd love a good Okami sequel or prequel.
Apparently Okamiden roughly translates to 'Okami Tales' or 'Okami Legend' btw. :-)
Now THIS is some of the best news I've head in ages. I picked up Okami about 8 months ago and finally picked it up back in May...and I LOVE it. I have put in over 80 hours on this game and it is a beautiful masterpiece. In many ways it is Zelda--but better! I would absolutely love a sequel.

=O That's amazing! That would be killer!
But... I'm a little confused. Okami was stellar (only a single reason in a very long list of awesome, mind you) because the graphics looked like artwork. How would that translate to Next-gen? I guess they could always just improve on that concept and make it more fluid and impressive... Oooh, I'm getting excited!
