Scribblenauts Dev Focusing Future On Consoles, Not "Original Stuff"

5TH Cell has made a name for itself as a handheld developer with creative games like Drawn to Life, Lock's Quest, and of course the hugely anticipated Scribblenauts. But it sounds like they're getting ready to spread their influence away from portable games and into home console territory.
"This is our big last hurrah for DS games," 5TH Cell cofounder Jeremiah Slaczka told GameSpot. "That's it for original stuff. We're now going to move on to consoles in the next year. We might still do DS; I'm not saying we're not going to [develop DS games]. But our focus is definitely going to be on console."
Whoa, hold on a second there. I'm not sure I like the sound of "That's it for original stuff." That "original stuff" is what made 5TH Cell games so great on the DS in the first place.
But maybe Slaczka was referring to building on their existing franchises for consoles. Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter is already on its way to the Wii, and maybe Scribblenauts isn't too far behind. When asked about Scribblenaut's future Slaczka had this to say. "I really like Scribblenauts and think there's a lot of potential there, so we'll see what happens." Oh Jeremiah Slaczka, you're so coy with your vague hints and sexy rooster hat.

sexy rooster hat
Seriously, that hat is awful but it would be so nice to get to take it off of him.
