Video: Avatar Debut Trailer
James Cameron's Avatar let its sibling out of the box today, showing off this debut trailer of James Cameron's Avatar: The Game to the crowds at GamesCon. Inhabiting the same world in which the film is set, Pandora, but set within its own story and pacing, Avatar looks nearly as inviting as the astounding Avatar film trailer.
Reprising their roles from the film are actors Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi and Stephen Lang. Rodriquez plays your chopper pilot, while Ribisi reprises the role of the arrogant Parker Selfridge in only the Wii version of the game. Lang plays the film's antagonist, Colonel Quaritch. No word yet on whether Sam Worthington or Zoe Saldana will be in the game as well.

Maybe it's just me, but that trailer made me think of the failed Xbox launch title Azurik. Maybe it's just all of the blue people.
I got really excited for a minute...then I started watching the trailer and was confused..
Then I remembered that James Cameron isn't M. Night Shamlanlammlanalman..and everything became abundantly clear.
Excited to go see a mini-sneak peak of the movie tonight. 15 min's of footage on the big screen in 3D. Woot!
