Nintendo Hits The Runway At Fashion Week

CHARLOTTE+RONSON+FALL+2009.jpg

Never let it be said that Nintendo doesn't know how to get creative with promoting their videogames! To pimp the upcoming launch of Style Savvy for the Nintendo DS, Nintendo is teaming up with fashion designer Charlotte Ronson to offer a sneak peek at the game during the runway show after party this Friday, September 11. So after folks check out Ronson's spring 2010 line, they can sip cocktails and play Style Savvy? Um, okay!

"Style Savvy transforms some of my fashions from the real world into a portable fashion experience that players can take with them anywhere," Ronson said. "Now everyone can explore their creative instincts and become a fashion stylist."

The game lets you create a fashion boutique to help customers find their perfect style using 16 different brands so they can compete in runway contests. Using the WiFi, you can also connect with friends to shop in their boutiques and join up for multiplayer runway shows. Seriously? Mutliplayer runway shows over WiFi? I think I just got interested in this game. Oh, and later in the year, Style Savvy players will be able to access Charlotte Ronson Designer Downloads to download items from her fall 2009 line directly into the game. No word on how much they'll cost, but I'd hope it's either really cheap or free!

Seriously, is it wrong that I kind of want to play this game?

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
