PSPgo ESRB Ratings Guide

ESRB head Patricia Vance announced an application that will come pre-loaded onto the PSPgo that should, if used correctly, help parents and the content-sensitive educate themselves on how to judge games and their ratings in a world where - for the PSPgo at least - there's no longer a retail box on which to spot the telltale ESRB rating.
SCEA has developed the ESRB Video Game Ratings Guide, which comes pre-loaded on the PSPgo but can be deleted for those without ratings concerns; the app provides a "straight-forward and thorough overview of the ESRB ratings system" and also guides users through a step-by-step tutorial of the PSPgo's parental control system.
The application itself might not seem overwhelmingly relevant to most childless adult gamers, but any institutionalized support of the ESRB strengthens the spine of that organization and its clout - clout and spine that may one day protect mature content from the anti-gaming racket, content the likes of which could be very relevant indeed.
