Twitter Your Way To A New Car!

And they said Twitter was useless and a waste of time. Well, EA is proving "them" wrong by launching a contest to promote the launch of the recently-released Need For Speed SHIFT on the social networking site. You can win copies of the game, an Xbox 360, a wireless racing wheel, concert tickets and more, but the big prize is a 2010 BMW M3. Every day, Need For Speed is posting five daily Twitter missions giving followers five chances to compete various challenges for an entry in the contest. Each successful mission is another contest entry. I checked it out, and it's basically Tweeting specific pictures or Tweeting about the game to various other places. Nothing too terribly challenging. Yet. And as long as you do at least one, you've got at least that one entry into the contest. Of course, you do also need to be 18 and a resident of the US. Just follow @NeedforSpeed on Twitter, and for complete rules head on over to www.needforspeed.com. Good luck, and if you win, I call shotgun!
