Atlus Wants You To Hold Your Horses!

Atlus dropped me a line to let me know that while they're currently shipping what they so colorfully refer to as "a metric poop-ton" of their upcoming PlayStation 3 action RPG Demon's Souls, they wanted to offer just one little word of warning. The game doesn't release until Tuesday, October 6, so if you manage to get your hands on a copy before then through some kind of special mutant time-traveling ability or just your own personal charming way with gaming store employees, you will get a PSN error if you try to play it. You can still play offline, but the North American servers won't be up and running until the 6th when the game officially launches. So just wait your turn and then everybody can have fun together, okay? It's not a race!

Man! I am sooo excited for this game. I got the deluxe uber super awesome collector's edition...so..I hope it is worth it! :D
I wasn't planning on playing it before then anyway, but also looking forward to this experience.
Chris: me too. I seriously can't believe how much I'm looking forward to being really, really frustrated.
To anyone who has ever thrown a controller or done something similar out of frustration: I strongly suggest that you get a Nerf bat and a pillow, and keep them next to you while playing this game, if only to save the poor PS3 equipment from unneeded abuse. :(
Also, I wonder if those who imported the Asian version of the game (like me) will be able to play online with those who have the US version? I'm guessing not, but it would be cool if we could.
mikeblackney: MAN I KNOW!! I hope that perhaps we can play together. However, I hear that there is no lobby for matching up with your friends. The matching is totally random since they wanted it that way for a specific reason...
