Dragon Age: Origins Character Creator Available

Last week NaviFairy told us about the impending release of the Dragon Age: Origins character creator, which is now available from BioWare and FilePlanet. Budding Dragon Agers, download it from BioWare here if you enjoy a direct link, or FilePlanet if you enjoy a less clogged intertube and don't mind waiting in a queue.
That's all - let us know if you think the Character Creator was worth the effort or if you'd rather just wait for the game knowing everyone was working hard on the game experience proper.

Well, I now have 3 characters done. A dwarven commoner rogue, an elf mage, and a city elf warrior.
Interesting note: You get to name your character, but only the first name. The last name is already given to you, probably so that other characters can refer to you like they did in Mass Effect with the name Shepherd.
Gonna repeat here what I already posted in the forum:
Hm, in the background description for the City Elf it mentions a wedding gone wrong. I'm assuming there will be an ingame movie of said event that will serve as the start of you adventure if you're a City Elf.
Assuming even further, I imagine they'll make the wedding automatically straight (since there isn't a sexual orientation option).
It would be rather hard to imagine your character 100% gay if from the start you're forced to undergo a straight wedding.
That being said, my characters are going to be a Dalish Elf Rogue, a Human Mage and a Noble Dwarf Warrior.
It's a shame about the names, because I really like the Elf Mage last name Tabris (like Kaworu from NGE ^_^), but then I'd be missing out on the more Elven-oriented backgrounds.

Yeah, the city elf marriage unfortunately is a straight one. There was a trailer for the city elf origin a while back (can't find it now, but I know it's at least on Xbox Live) that showed the marriage scene getting broken up by some human guards. For my city elf character I'm using a female because the trailer showed the guards taking the would-be bride away to a dungeon (where she is meant to be used for "entertainment") and then fights her way out killing every guard in her path. I thought that origin might lead to some interesting situations/race relations later on so I'm going to try and use that as one of my characters.
While the wedding for the City Elf Origin is indeed between a man and a woman, it is an arranged marriage, leaving it up to you, the player, to decide how you feel about your future spouse.
The devs have said that homosexuality is known in Thedas (the world of Dragon Age) and is not generally looked down upon, usually just seen as unusual. There is usually, however, an expectation that one will still reproduce if one is a noble.
As homosexual romances have already been confirmed, I doubt the City Elf wedding will try to force your character to be straight.
