Looks epic indeed.
If it manages to live up to that image, I can't wait to play it.
epic mickey...damn
Great job finding the cover! I've been eager to see it ever since it was teased in the last issue.
Here's hoping the grotesquely beautiful concept art we saw earlier is part of this strange world as well.
It makes me physically ill that this is Wii exclusive.
Imagine the blurry, non-HD graphics and horribly controls.
Since its not out till Halloween next year, by then i'm sure they'll reconsider and put it on PS3 or 360.
The art looks amazing, most of the levels are tortured Disneyland rides in case you didn't know.
It will look horrible on the Wii.
And that upsets me.
'It makes me physically ill that this is Wii exclusive.
It will look horrible on the Wii.'
One should never assume, and you should really sort out your fanboy issues if seeing a Nintendo exclusive makes you ill [you obviously don't have a Wii, thus it shouldn't affect you at all].
As for me, owning a Wii and 360, I can't wait for this. Some optional WM+ controls for the brush [which Okami sadly missed out on] would be awesome.
I look forward to finding out more about this. ^-^
I have a Wii, and I'm also upset that this will be Wii exclusive. The Wii can't match the graphics power of the HD consoles, and it's a shame that a game that has this much potential will be held down by the Wii's lack of resources.
For people concerned about the graphics on Wii: please look at Okami, Murumasa, No More Heroes, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles The Crystal Bearers, and A Boy and His Blob. Those are the games that I think of that would be comparable graphics-wise to Epic Mickey.
True, the Wii can't do realistic graphics very well. But with stylized graphics the results are much better. Gameplay-wise the Wii is a great choice for Epic Mickey since the game revolves around painting in and erasing parts of the environment, so let's wait to judge the game's graphics until we actually see them.
I like that there are people that think this game will be "held down" by the Wii without ever considering the fact that maybe the concept couldn't exist without the Wii. Just because HD consoles produce pretty visuals doesn't mean a controller that hasn't changed since 1999 can handle every design concept.
"The art looks amazing, most of the levels are tortured Disneyland rides in case you didn't know."
If this quote is true, I'm doing a happy dance! This could be so incredibly fun!
I want this so badly! I don't care if it's on the wii... or the 360... or ps3.. or NintendoDS or hell even on an original Playstation machine. HD graphics does not equal high quality game. I'm so excited for this game!
Game-Boy, by the time this game comes out, all three consoles will have controller options that match what the Wii's controller can bring (Natal and PS3's Wand). My comment earlier just means that the PS3 and 360 can deliver HD graphics that would compliment the artistic style of this game so much. It's a shame we won't see that.
