Epic Mickey Annotated Screenshots

The general rule of thumb for movies or video games with explosive marketing is that the studio is worried bad reviews will affect sales so more money is put into pre-release marketing to get people to buy tickets/copies on opening day (see: 2012 ... actually, don't see it). Though, it's hard to say if this is the case with Epic Mickey, as it's a weird product that would probably need a lot of marketing either way. Even though Mickey Mouse is one of the most enduring mascots of all time, he's not really a major selling point to this game's target audience. So who knows, maybe they're just putting all this marketing into the game to convince us that it's for us. Either way, the marketing's working, because here we are talking about it.
Game Informer recently posted a four annotated screenshots of Epic Mickey. They show things like Oswald's babies, destructable environment (you can use paint thinner to delete the floor, like a more gameplay-relevant version of clearing the paint in Mario Sunshine!), the Twilight Princess-like D-pad item slots, info on how the 'morality system' affects abilities (Hero Mickey can make allies with certain enemies), and how the on-screen Wii reticle works. The screenshots are extremely big and in HD with tiny text, so it'd be pointless to post them here as you'll have to open them in full screen anyway: Screenshot 1, screenshot 2, screenshot 3, screenshot 4.

I am really really REALLY looking forward to this game (and am already getting those I-want-it-now itches despite it being a year away). Though not quite the picture that was painted in the concept art, I still really like the style of the game. The plot sounds fantastically out-there (Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and the Phantom Blot? Count me in!), and I love the whole idea of utilizing old, forgotten Disney material.
I keep reading comments on other sites like "Eww, it looks terrible on Wii" and "Its on the Wii, so I don't want it," and I feel disappointed by such shallowness. This game is a YEAR away - don't assume these are all final builds. And besides, we haven't even seen it in motion yet - grand graphics don't always make a grand game. This thing could look like mud but still end up one of the most entertaining things ever, so be patient and wait n' see!

This. Gamers are so shallow and spoiled these days, it's saddening to see.
Alas, I can't remember a time a game totally sold me from the announcement offset [that wasn't an IP I'd already invested in], so I can't wait for this! ^-^
