Video: Some French Guy Shows Off A Chunk Of Heavy Rain
Well, not just any random French guy: that's Guillaume de Fondaumière, the "co-CEO" of Quantic Dream, and executive producer of Heavy Rain. In the video above he walks us through some early scenes of the game, demonstrating the revolutionary "Sit down and do nothing" mechanic, as well as the "Get a snack for your kid" ability and the "Force him to do homework" power-up. Sarcasm aside, Heavy Rain looks to be one of the most interesting games of this generation, however you play it. As someone who tends to replay scenes over and over again to get every possible result, I foresee driving myself insane with all of the different choices you have to make during the course of the game. Maybe the "sit and do nothing" option isn't so bad, after all.

Wow, thanks for this video, I was gonna preorder this from the earlier vids but now I feel like I dodged a bullet. If I ever saw a "BOREDOM INCOMING" label there it was.
As long as it does'nt suffer from the Farenheit syndrome.Of course I probably would get it anyway if it werent for the fact that I don't have a PS3, which is a bit of an hindrance.
I can see myself being entertained by this, for a while.... Too much freedom can be counterproductive especially if (many of) your choices aren't all that important. Apple or, I dunno, banana for snack? .... riiight >_> he better do something different for each -_- else it gets too tiring too fast.
As long as they don't overdo it with those and keep the crazy button smashing from Fahrenheit away....
