Come Back To Age Of Conan And Level Up Faster
Funcom wants you to please come back and play their MMORPG Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, and they're offering up some incentives to lure you back. If you reactivate your account, you can play free of charge for two full weeks, and you'll also get a double experience boost during that period of time. And if you want to stick around longer, you'll get even more bonuses.
Subscribing for one month gives you seven days of extra game time for free. Three months adds in a guaranteed spot in the open beta for The Secret World. Six months also gives you a level 40 helmet with a 10% XP modifier. And subscribing for a full 12 months gets you all that, plus a free copy of the Rise of the Godslayer expansion. All the lower tier bonuses are included if you subscribe at the higher tier. This is a limited time offer, but is also available to new players as well.
"We are very proud of what have been able to do with the game since launch," says Morten Larssen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Funcom. "The game has grown and improved at a remarkable pace, and we continue to introduce new content, new features and new improvements. We are introducing these fantastic rewards as we know that coming back to an MMO demands effort, and we want to make sure that as many former players as possible are exposed to the new and improved Age of Conan."
I don't play this game, but I think if I did, these kind of incentives might be the kind of things to lure me back. What about you?

The reason to why I stopped playing it in the first place, was not that it took time to level up. It was the sheer amount of bugs, the game in my opinion wasn't even up to beta stage when it was released. More like a late alpha stage. Plus they changed everything about the classes in every single patch they let out, making them totally different one week from the other.
One whole zone was so poorly programmed that people who went in there would crash after walking around a bit. And the fact that once you got to 60+ you had to grind all the way to 80 because there were no quests to speak of, no end game to speak of.
So no, I'm not going back. Not even if they give me a year free subscription.
I played for one month or so way back in the beginning.
I quit back then for a variety of reasons.
I have always wanted to come back though and get myself a higher level Herald of Xotli. And with them giving Incubus to male and female Demonologists since I left, I want to try that too.
So this is very interesting for me. And I defenitly want into the Secret World open beta, so I'll be getting that offer.
I know the game still has its faults (chief of which IMO are confusing talent descriptions), but I'd imagine there'll have been some improvements since launch.
I just quit playing a few weeks ago, and it had little to do with the game play. The game is now solid, with a decent community and good performance.
I quite because Funcom decided that they'd reward Veteran players with breast enlargements for their female characters. I thought that was pretty well ridiculous and decided that's not a company I want to fund.
You had your chance Funcom, you ruined it. The game would have needed more time and you released it incomplete and with more bugs than working material! So, all the players left and are not coming back. And you have no one else to blame but yourself.
