Deus Ex 3 To Be First Eidos/Square-Enix Collaboration

Earlier this year, RPG giant Square-Enix acquired Eidos and there was a lot of confusion about how the companies would fit together. Today, via Edge, the first game collaboration between the two companies was revealed, and it's not quite what would be expected.
Deus Ex 3 is the game in question, with the collaboration consisting of Square-Enix handling the game's pre-rendered cinematics, with Eidos Montreal handling the game's actual development. So far it's unknown just how big a role pre-rendered cinematics will play in Deus Ex 3, but Eidos Montreal General Manager Stephane D'Astous confirmed that Square-Enix will at least be handling the game's trailers and introduction cinematic.
It sounds like Deus Ex 3 will only be the first of many games that become a collaboration between East and West. "The people in Tokyo are just so glad to work on it," D'Astous said. "This is the first project for them that's a non-Final Fantasy title-- they even want to work on Thief 4 too, so everyone is really excited." I can imagine that a shift from Final Fantasy game after Final Fantasy game could be a nice change of pace, but will a nice change of pace for the developers make for a fun experience for gamers? Right now I'm more curious than optimistic or worried, so I'll reserve judgment until something concrete (i.e. playable) emerges from the collaboration.

OMG OMG OMG OMG DEUS EX 3?!!?!!? I didnt even know this was in development! I
I worked briefly with eidos montreal on DX3. Shouldn't have left: Square Enix would've looked good on my resume, too :(
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let this one be like the first game and not like "Invisible War".
