Penny Arcade's PA TV Goes Live
Can you get enough Penny Arcade? I know that I can't, so that surely means you can't either. So with over ten years of webcombics, books, t-shirts, figures, Tekken DLC, and assorted other goods under their belt what is left for creators Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik to conquer? It appears as though a reality show is next on the list.
This week marks the debut of PA TV, a webshow that takes a look at the insanity behind all things Penny Arcade. The pilot episode blends together footage from this year's incredible Penny Arcade Expo, interviews with Holkins and Krahulik, and takes a surprisingly deep look the pair's ups and downs of their creation and bewildering (to them) success. But don't think their accomplishments have gone to their heads. Even as Gabe (aka Krahulik) asks for feedback on the show, he's quick to rely on self-deprecating humor to keep himself in check...
So watch the pilot and let us know what you think. Drop us a mail or hit the forum, we'd love to know what you think. Our plan is to release two episodes like this per month. You'll be able to watch them all right here on the site. I know we're hard to look at in our human form but if you can stomach it, I think the show is pretty interesting.
I have to say that the pilot is more than just "pretty interesting" as I laughed a lot and even got a bit misty eyed at one spot. Hopefully future episodes will be able to maintain the quality mark set by this premiere.
